Role Overview
The Media & Marketing Executive will lead the club’s digital presence, brand visibility, and match‑day media output. This role is ideal for someone passionate about grassroots sport, digital storytelling, and community engagement. You’ll be the creative engine behind how the club presents itself to supporters, sponsors, and the wider rugby community.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation — Produce engaging written, photo, and video content for social media, the club website, and newsletters.
Match‑Day Media — Attend all home fixtures to capture live updates, photography, interviews, and post‑match reports.
Social Media Management — Plan, schedule, and publish posts across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok).
Marketing Campaigns — Support ticket sales, events, and community initiatives through targeted promotional activity.
Sponsor Support — Deliver agreed media obligations for club sponsors, including shout‑outs, graphics, and campaign support.
Website Updates — Keep fixtures, results, news articles, and player profiles up to date.
Brand Consistency — Ensure all content aligns with the club’s tone, values, and visual identity.
Community Engagement — Interact with supporters online and help grow the club’s digital reach.
Essential Skills & Experience
Social Media proficiency across major platforms
Basic photography and videography
Copywriting ability with strong attention to detail
Graphic design basics (Canva or similar)
Time management and ability to work independently
Confident communicator comfortable interviewing players/coaches
Availability for all home match days throughout the season
Desirable (Not Essential)
Experience working in sport or community organisations
Knowledge of rugby union
Familiarity with website CMS platforms
Ability to produce short‑form video content (Reels/TikTok)
